Generation Independent
Dr. Omar. H. Ali Young people today are politically independent. They have little allegiance to -- or faith in -- the established political parties and institutions. The media often describe this as "apathy," but CUIP believes it is something entirely different; we believe that young people want to make a better world, and they are smart enough to know that the existing political arrangement will not produce qualitative development.

GENERATION INDEPENDENT is a project designed to train young people as leaders of the independent movement. Here are some components of the project:

Dr. Omar. H. Ali with students in Michigan Expanded Internship Program:  Every summer CUIP provides a comprehensive training program for students who want to learn how to be independent activists. Dozens of college students participate yearly and internships are also offered in the fall and spring semesters. Word is spreading that if you're an independent-minded student, CUIP is the place to be!

Dr. Omar. H. Ali with students at ChIP National Conference 2004 in NH Campus Speaking Engagements:  Our spokespeople regularly address college students and organizations across the country about a variety of cutting-edge political topics.

We are eager to provide more opportunities for young people to hear our message, and participate in building the independent movement.

GENERATION INDEPENDENT is a timely and important project that builds on the optimism and political independence of today's youth. As you can imagine, we need your support to ensure its success.
