The CUIP Intern Program offers students the opportunity to play a significant
role in building the Independent movement in America.
Interns participate in a variety of activities related to politics and political reform.
The program emphasizes a hands-on approach, in which interns participate directly in grassroots campaigns.

We are currently accepting applications for our Fifth annual summer program.
Over 100 students have graduated from CUIP's summer program.
Previous interns have:
Wrote and produced newsletters (Click 1st or
2nd to read the two issues of the Nouveau Independents as pdf's);
Spearheaded a petition drive for Non-Partisan Elections New York City;
Helped kick off the Choosing An Independent President process polling operation which surveyed close to 10,000 Independents nationally;
Developed a campaign to market The Neo-Independent magazine to bookstores;
Testified at public hearings;
Participated in public and media relations campaigns.
In addition, every intern participates in a weekly seminar led by Dr. Omar Ali, CUIP's Director of Youth Programs.
The program is a non-paid internship (although appropriate letters will be provided in order for you to receive credit), and all out of town
participants must find their own housing.
CUIP is located in the heart of the government district in New York City.
