The First New England Regional Conference: May 24, 2005 - Portsmouth, NH.
New England, you might say, is the birthplace of independent politics. From the Boston Tea Party and the skirmishes of Lexington and Concord to the
recent effort in New Hampshire to defeat HB 154, New Englanders have always cherished their freedom and resisted tyranny - be it from King George
or partisan legislators.

"Choosing an Independent President Conference: The Power of Fusion" January 16, 2005 - New York City, NY.
When Choosing An Independent President was launched in January 2003, we began with a strategy to organize independent voters
to exercise their political power. The purpose was not to form a national political party. Rather, our goal was to create a national political process
through which independents could begin to achieve recognition and leverage. This strategy is best described as "fusion".
The independent movement - and the revolutionary spirit it embodies - will, in my opinion, be the catalyst for a much
needed change in America's political life. -- Jacqueline Salit, Political Director.
